# Overview

[**Backup4Dynamics**](https://www.inogic.com/product/productivity-apps/dynamics-365-crm-backup-restore-archive/) is an automated data backup and recovery solution designed to protect Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Dataverse data from accidental deletion, failed imports, data corruption, integration issues, and other unexpected data loss. It allows administrators to configure scheduled backups on a daily basis. Incremental backups can also be used to back up only newly added or modified data.

Backup4Dynamics supports the backup of Dynamics 365 CRM/Dataverse records, attachments, and notes. It provides granular recovery to restore specific record data without restoring the entire environment, along with point-in-time recovery when data needs to be recovered from a specific backup. With Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS), organizations can store backup data in their own Azure Storage account and define long-term retention policies. In addition, Backup4Dynamics performs backup and restore data processing within Azure resources deployed in the customer's Azure subscription, keeping customer business-data processing and backup storage within the customer's Azure environment. This enables organizations to apply their own Azure security, access, governance, data residency, and retention policies to the backup environment.

* Select the Dynamics 365 CRM/Dataverse tables or records to include in a backup.
* Back up Dynamics 365 CRM/Dataverse records, attachments, and notes.
* Store backup data in a customer-owned Azure Storage account using Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS).
* Search backed-up records by date, entity, changes, name, or ID, and view the change history of backed-up records.
* Restore selected records without restoring the entire snapshot.
* Restore an entire snapshot for a selected entity or restore related records by selecting the applicable relationship types.
* Control how existing and deleted records are handled during restoration.
* Monitor backup and restore operations, including their status, progress, logs, and other relevant execution details, through Backup Runs and Restore Runs.

Backup4Dynamics gives administrators greater control over how Dynamics 365 data is backed up, retained, searched, and restored when needed.
