# FAQs

#### 1. What is Backup4Dynamics used for?

Backup4Dynamics is used to back up Dynamics 365 CRM/Dataverse data and restore backed-up records when required. It supports scheduled backups, backup history, granular record restoration, and snapshot restoration.

#### 2. Where are my backups stored?

Backup4Dynamics supports storing backups in Azure Storage. During configuration, you can either use Quick Setup, which creates the required Resource Group and Storage Account, or Manual Setup, which allows you to use an existing Resource Group and Storage Account.

#### 3. Which entities can I include in a backup?

During backup schedule configuration, you can select the entities you want to back up. Entities with Change Tracking enabled are selected automatically, and additional entities can be included using the Enable option. Some entity types, such as Virtual entities/tables and Elastic entities/tables, are not supported for backup.

#### 4. Can I restore specific records instead of restoring the entire backup?

Yes. Backup4Dynamics allows you to search for backed-up records within a specified date range, select the required records, and restore them. You can also choose Restore entire snapshot when you need to restore the complete snapshot.

#### 5. Can deleted records be restored?

Yes. During the restore process, you can specify how deleted records should be handled. The available options are Skip.
