**1. Static Marketing List Sync**

* Add members to the list and associate Tags/Interests to the marketing list.
* **Initial Sync of List** — Manual Sync → pushes members + their Tag/Interest associations to Mailchimp

**Member Exists?**

* **Yes** → Updates the existing member and applies associated Tags/Interests
* **No** → Creates a new member with `subscribed` status and applies associated Tags/Interests
* **New Member added to the** *synced* **list** *(after Initial Sync)* — Automatic Sync
* **Updates made to synced members** — Automatic Sync → Updates the member in Mailchimp
* **Members removed from list** — Automatic Sync → Disassociates the Tag/Interest from the member in Mailchimp

**2. Dynamic Marketing List Sync**

* Add members (via filter condition) and associate Tags/Interests to the list.
* **Initial Sync of List** — Manual Sync → pushes members + Tag/Interest associations to Mailchimp

**Member Exists?**

* **Yes** → Updates the existing member and applies associated Tags/Interests
* **No** → Creates a new member with `subscribed` status and applies associated Tags/Interests
* **New Member added to list** — Manual Sync
* **Updates made to synced members** — Automatic Sync→ Updates the member in Mailchimp
* **Members removed from list** — Manual Sync → Disassociates the Tag/Interest from the member in Mailchimp

**Key difference:** Static Lists have a fixed, stored membership; once a one-time manual Initial Sync is run, new members, updates, and removals sync automatically. Dynamic Lists are evaluated at runtime based on a filter condition rather than a stored member set, so Marketing4Dynamics can't reliably auto-detect membership changes; every event (initial sync, new members, removals) requires manual sync.

**3. Campaign Sync**

* **Create and Send Campaigns from CRM** → Synced to Mailchimp
* Mailchimp checks the **scheduled send date**:
* **Send Now** → Campaign is sent automatically from Mailchimp
* **Scheduled** → Campaign is sent at the scheduled date/time from Mailchimp

**4. Tags and Groups/Interests Sync**

* **Create Tags from CRM** — Manual Sync
* **Create Groups/Interests from CRM** — Manual Sync
* Check **"Tag/Group Exists?"** in Mailchimp:
* **Yes** → Updates the existing Tag/Group (Interest) in Mailchimp
* **No** → Creates a new Tag/Group (Interest) in Mailchimp
