Next Best Action Activity Card

Next Best Actions are displayed as user-friendly Activity Cards within CRM forms.

Each card includes:

1. Title of the recommended action

  • The main text describing the suggested activity.

  • Benefit: Quickly informs the user of the recommended next step without needing to open additional screens.

  • Example: “Follow up regarding proposal.”

2. Related record information

  • Key details about the record connected to the recommendation, such as a contact, account, or opportunity.

  • Benefits: Provides context so users know exactly who or what the action pertains to.

  • Example: Contact: Jane Doe, Company: Acme Corp, Opportunity: Q2 Product Demo.

3. Due date

  • The suggested date by which the action should be completed.

  • Benefits: Guides users on the optimal time to perform an action to achieve the desired goal and helps users prioritize tasks and manage timelines effectively.

  • Example: Due Date: Today, Tomorrow, 2 hours, etc.

4. Activity type (Email, Phone Call, Meeting, etc.)

  • Specifies the nature of the recommended action.

  • Benefits: Allows users to understand the mode of communication and prepare accordingly.

  • Example: Activity Type: Phone Call.

5. Priority indicator (High, Normal, Low)

  • Shows the urgency or importance of the recommended action.

  • Benefits: Helps users focus on high-impact tasks first.

  • Example: Priority: High - follow up immediately with a key prospect.

6. Confidence score

  • A numerical or visual indicator of how confident the system is that this recommendation is relevant.

  • Benefits: Guides users on which recommendations are most likely to be valuable, saving time and effort.

  • Example: Confidence Score: 92%.

7. Timestamp

  • The date and time the recommendation was generated.

  • Benefits: Provides context on the freshness of the recommendation and helps with auditing.

  • Example: Generated: 2026-03-04 10:15 AM.

8. More Details (Next Best Action reasoning summary for recommendation)

  • A brief explanation of why this recommendation was suggested.

  • Benefits: Improves transparency, helping users understand the rationale and trust the AI’s suggestions.

  • Example: “Recommended because Prospect X viewed the product demo last week and has not responded to the follow-up email.”

Available actions on the card:

  • Take Action - Opens the activity form

Use Case: Clicking “Take Action” opens the activity form, allowing the user to quickly log or update an activity.

  • Complete - Marks the recommendation as completed.

Use Case: After confirming a meeting with a client, the user marks the NBA card as complete to update the timeline.

  • Dismiss - Dismisses the recommendation with a reason.

Use Case: If a recommendation is irrelevant, such as suggesting a call for a cold lead, the user can dismiss it and optionally note why, to ensure auditing and traceability.

  • Undo - Restore a dismissed action if required.

Use Case: The user changes their mind and wants to perform the action after dismissal; clicking Undo brings the card back, and any action taken, Complete, Dismiss, or Take Action, is duly recorded and updated in both the card and the timeline.
