Retrieve WABA ID from Meta

The WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID) is a unique identifier assigned by Meta to your WhatsApp Business Account. WhatsApp4Dynamics uses this ID to identify the correct WhatsApp Business Account when configuring the Meta WhatsApp integration.

Before You Begin

• Make sure you can sign in to the Meta Business account that manages your WhatsApp Business Account.

• Make sure the required WhatsApp Business Account has already been created or connected in Meta.

• Make sure you have sufficient permissions to view or manage the WhatsApp Business Account.

What Is a WABA ID?

WABA stands for WhatsApp Business Account. The WABA ID uniquely identifies the WhatsApp Business Account that manages your WhatsApp business phone numbers and messaging assets.

To find your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID in Meta, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Sign in to Meta for Developers

Go to Meta for Developers and sign in using the Facebook account associated with the Meta Business account that manages the WhatsApp Business Account you want to connect with WhatsApp4Dynamics.

Step 2: Open Your Meta App

After signing in, open the Meta App associated with your WhatsApp Business Account.

Step 3: Open the WhatsApp Setup

From the left-side navigation menu, open the WhatsApp section.

• For a testing number: Select Step 1: Try it out and locate the WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID) displayed in the setup.

• For a production number: Select Production Setup and locate and copy the WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID) displayed there.

Important: Make sure you copy the WABA ID and not the Phone Number ID. The WABA ID identifies the WhatsApp Business Account, while the Phone Number ID identifies the specific phone number.

Step 4: Open WhatsApp4Dynamics

• Sign in to your Dynamics 365 environment where WhatsApp4Dynamics is installed.

• Go to the WhatsApp4Dynamics Configuration area and open the configuration you are creating or editing.

Step 5: Enter the WABA ID

• In WhatsApp4Dynamics configuration section, locate the WABA ID field and paste the value copied from Meta.

• Make sure the complete ID is entered without missing digits or unwanted spaces. Save the configuration after entering the value.
