# Export Related Records in an Excel Template

Using Click2Export you can export related records into an Excel template.

You can utilize the Excel template to retrieve record information associated with other related records. Also, you can display the related record in an Excel template with the required columns configured.

**Example:** There’s an Account which is associated with 5 Invoices. These Invoice Records can be exported along with the Account record in Excel Sheet format using Click2Export.

**Operation**:

Consider an Entity which is associated with another Entity that has ‘n’ records related to it. These records can be exported in the form of Excel sheet reports. The different actions that can be performed with the reports include ‘Download’, ‘Email’, ‘Schedule’.

In the below screenshot, as you can see the user has configured the Account’s active Invoice template as the user wants to export the active invoice of the particular user and use it for further requirements.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.inogic.com/click2export/features/export-related-records-in-an-excel-template.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
