The Undo2Restore Windows tool operates independently of your CRM environment, providing a seamless solution for effortlessly restoring deleted records and reversing unwanted changes in bulk with just a few clicks. Boasting a straightforward installation and configuration process, this tool transforms the CRM data restoration experience into a hassle-free process.
Download the Undo2Restore tool from here.
After downloading the zip file, select it and right-click on it. Extract the zip; the folder includes setup.exe and Undo2Restore_Setup.msi.
Double-click on Undo2Restore_Setup.msi to set up the tool.
Click on ‘Next’.
Select ‘Everyone’ and click on ‘Next’.
• Click on ‘Next’.
• Click on ‘Next’.
• Click on ‘Close’.
• Click on the Undo2Restore Tool icon to open the tool.
Select deployment type as ‘Office 365’ and fill in the following details in the given fields-
Display a list of available organizations: Enable the checkbox in case of multiple organizations in CRM.
Online Region: Select the respective region. (If the region is not known, then select ‘Don’t Known’ from dropdown list.)
Username: Add your CRM username.
Password: Add your CRM password.
After filling out all the details, click on ‘Login’.
For seamlessly undoing unwanted changes and restoring deleted records in Dynamics 365 CRM (On-Premises), choose the deployment type as 'On-Premises' and provide the required details in the designated fields.
Server: Add your Server IP Address.
Port: Add your Port Number.
Authentication Source: Select ‘Active Directory’.
User Name: Add your CRM username.
Password: Add your CRM password.
Domain: Add Server Domain Name.
After filling out all the details, click on ‘Login’.
Select your desired environment and click on ‘Login’.
Undo2Restore Tool enables users to restore deleted records in bulk and undo unwanted changes in bulk.

To restore history deleted records in bulk, follow the steps below:
Select ‘Restore Deleted Records’ and Click on ‘Proceed’.
Fill in Details:
Select entity: Here you can select the entity for which you want to restore records, such as Account entity.
Filter Records by View: Here you can select the specific entity view for which you want to restore records, such as "Accounts being followed." (In this field, you can only select entity views related to the current entity context.)
Restore records deleted between: Select ‘From’ and ‘To’ dates in which records were deleted during a particular time period.
Click on ‘Review Data’ button to see all the records that will be restored after clicking on the ‘Restore’ button.
Click on ‘Restore’ button.
• Click on ‘Yes’.
To save the records after being restored in Excel format on your local machine, you will need to choose the option ‘Yes’. Otherwise, you may continue with the option ‘No’.
On selecting the option Yes, you will be prompted as below to select the path on your local machine where you would like to save the Excel file with the list of records restored, and while setting the folder path, you will also be required to provide a name for your Excel file.
Now the Undo2Restore Tool will start restoring records in CRM.
• Once all the records are restored, click on ‘OK’.
The tool will provide you with important record restoration metrics such as Total Record Count, Total Records Restored, Failure Count.
The Undo2Restore Tool also enables you to review the deleted records in Excel format on your local machine before restoration process in the CRM.
To Review the deleted records in Excel format, follow below steps-
Select entity: Here you can select the entity for which you want to download the deleted records, such as Lead entity.
Filter Records by View: Here you can select the specific entity view for which you want to download deleted records, such as All Leads.
Restore records deleted between: Select ‘From’ and ‘To’ dates in which records were deleted during a particular time period.
Click on ‘Review Data’ button.
After clicking on ‘Review Data’ button, you will be redirected to below popup , then click on ‘Yes’ button.
On selecting the option ‘Yes’, you will be prompted as below to select the path on your local machine where you would want to save the Excel file with the list of deleted records, and while setting the folder path, you will also be required to provide a name for your Excel file.
Click on ‘Save’ button, and deleted records will start to download on your local machine at given path.
If there are no deleted records in the CRM of selected entity and in Between selected date span, then tool will display a pop-up with the message “No deleted records found between selected dates.” As shown in below screenshot , Click on ‘Ok’.
To Undo Record changes in Bulk, follow the steps below:
Select ‘Undo Changes’ and click on ‘Proceed’.
• Fill in Details:
Select entity: Here you can select an entity, such as an Account entity, for which you want to undo the unwanted record changes.
Filter Records by View: Here you can select the specific entity view for which you want to undo record changes, such as All Accounts.
Select fields to Undo Changes: Select specific fields in which you want to Undo Unwanted changes, such as Account Name and Account Number.
Undo Changes: Select specific dates to undo record changes between a particular time period. As per your requirement, you can select whether you want to undo record changes to a specific date or undo record changes within a certain time period.
We have two options for performing undo operations:
Till Date: This process permits you to reverse any alterations executed in CRM after the chosen date (let's assume it's August 10th, 2023). Consequently, all modifications applied to the records after August 10th, 2023, will be rolled back. The record details will be reinstated in their states prior to August 10th, 2023.
Between Dates: You will have the capability to choose two dates, a "From" date and a "To" date. Only the alterations made to records within this selected date range will be reversed, while any changes outside this range will remain unaffected.
• Click on ‘Undo’ and click on ‘Yes’.
Now the Undo2Restore Tool will start undoing the record changes in bulk.
After completing the undo process, tool will give you a popup of undo record details.
Then Click on ‘OK’.
The Tool will provide you with important record modification metrics such as Total Record Count, Total Records Modified, and Failure Count.
If no record is found for the undo operation in the selected date span, then the tool gives you a popup as shown below.
You can download the modified record details in an Excel sheet.
Click on ‘Download’ button to download all the modified records.
On selecting the ‘Download’ button, you will be prompted, as below, to select the path on your local machine where you would like to save the Excel file with the list of modified records. While setting the folder path, you will also be required to provide a name for your Excel file.
Once all the records are downloaded successfully, Click on ‘OK’.
